Community Garden Agreement Forms |
The Community Garden consists of 28 plots where islanders enjoy growing vegetables and flowers
fenced off from the island wildlife. A nominal fee is charged which pays for gas, oil and equipment replacement. Gardeners are able to plant, tend and harvest their plots while sharing growing tips with their neighbors. We ask that gardeners volunteer to mow the garden area at least once during the growing season and support the Harvest Festival. For more information, see XX Two of the garden plots have been designated as an herb garden and a cut-flower garden. Anyone on the island is welcome to pick herbs to complete a recipe or for flowers for the table. There is no charge for this but donations are always accepted. If you are interested in obtaining a garden plot for the 2015 season contact Linda Mosher at 683-2059 or [email protected]. There are usually plots available in the early spring. |
